Frequently Asked Questions

  • We will collect payments from our guests in 3 installments. Once collected, we immediately use these funds to pay for the villa reservation as well to secure the staff, drivers and book the activities. Therefore, we are unable to provide refunds to guests.

We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance at the time of booking in the unlikely event you need to cancel your travel plans for any reason.

  • Our trips include lots of walking, sometimes on uneven ground, up steep hills and up steps. We do caution that this trip is not the right fit for those who have difficulty walking or have a health-related condition that would limit participation and/or impede or inconvenience the rest of the group.

  • We recommend you only pack what you can carry on your own and that you do not pack anything sentimental or valuable. Carry-on luggage is strongly recommended versus large suitcases. The villas have washers and dryers.

Your luggage is your own responsibility while traveling, so the less you have, the easier it is to keep track of.

  • Yes, the villa comes equipped with a washing machine for our guests to do their laundry. There are typically no driers in Italy.

  • We highly recommend that all guests purchase adequate and comprehensive travel insurance. The policy should cover you in the event of accident or illness, provide medical coverage, loss of luggage, trip cancellation, etc. Together in Tuscany will not be responsible for coverage of these events. We suggest you shop around for the coverage that best fits your needs and evaluate coverage you may already have with your credit card, health insurance, or homeowners’ policies.

  • Yes, you can have your own room! Our villas have many different room options. You can choose to stay in a shared room or to have your own private room. The room selections are determined on a first come, first served basis at the time of booking.

  • Should you or someone else get sick during your trip, we will help you access appropriate medical care as quickly as possible. At that point you will be responsible for following the advice of local health authorities. We will not be able to provide any refund, even if the trip is interrupted. You (or your travel insurance) will need to cover any expenses incurred for medical treatment, testing, medication or self-isolation.

  • The villa chef and most restaurants will cater to all dietary restrictions. However, we want our guests to be aware that Italian cuisine has a strong focus on dairy products and use of eggs in cooking, which is sometimes difficult to adjust for on an individual basis.

  • We recommend you have a passport that doesn’t expire 6 months prior to the trip start date. U.S. residents should also go to www.state.gov for information regarding international travel.

  • This is a personal preference. To help in this decision, consider that you will need cash to pay the local taxes upon check-in (estimate 15 Euros for this) . Most restaurants and shops accept credit cards.

  • Although the villa is in the countryside, you do not need to rent a car. We provide transportation to and from the villa throughout your stay.
